Jordan McGhee has committed his future to Hearts by signing a new contract with the Edinburgh-based outfit.
The 18-year-old's previous deal had been due to expire in the summer, which had resulted in speculation regarding his future.
However, the defender has put the rumours to bed, having extended his stay at Tynecastle until the summer of 2017.
"Jordan is one of the top prospects in the Scottish game. It is good to get his future tied down and this gives him time to develop," manager Robbie Neilson told the club's official website.
"He has already played a lot of games for Hearts and done well and he will continue to be part of the team."
McGhee made his Hearts debut at the age of 16 back in 2013.
