Dordrecht were denied a first win since the opening day of the Eredivisie season by a second-half Heracles penalty in Almelo this evening.
Ryan Koolwijk had given the bottom-of-the-table club a third-minute lead, but Oussama Tannane levelled from the spot in a 1-1 draw.
The visitors had scored only once in their last six games, but quickly took the lead as Koolwijk rolled into the net following a through-ball from Rick ten Voorde.
It was the midfielder's second goal in four starts this campaign, and was enough to give Dordrecht a half-time advantage, despite the hosts having had more possession and shots on target.
Heracles were only two points above their lowly opponents a month ago, but three consecutive wins have launched them to 15th in the standings, and they extended their unbeaten run with a 73rd-minute equaliser.
Tannane sent Filip Kurto the wrong way from 12 yards to leave Dordrecht without a win in 14 matches, but the point was enough to stop their rot of nine successive defeats since September 26.
