Hertha held by Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim hold Hertha Berlin to a 1-1 draw in the Bundesliga this afternoon.

Hoffenheim have held Hertha Berlin to 1-1 draw at the Olympic Stadium in the Bundesliga this evening.

Sami Allagui fired the hosts into a 1-0 lead after 10 minutes of play, collecting a Per Skjelbred ball to slot past goalkeeper Koen Casteels.

However, the visitors responded well to the set-back and restored parity on the half-hour mark through Eugen Polanski, whose 20-yard strike rifled into the bottom corner beyond the reach of Thomas Kraft.

Adrian Ramos found himself with an excellent opportunity to snatch the points for the capital club in the final minutes after finding himself unmarked in the box, but could not beat Casteels as both sides shared the spoils.
