Kenny McLean put the visitors ahead before a Leigh Griffiths brace gave Hibs the lead. Jim Goodwin was sent off with over 20 minutes of the game remaining.

Bottom-of-the-table Dundee secured a home win over Hearts, Matthew Lockwood scoring the games only goal in the first half.

Motherwell returned to form with a convincing 3-1 win at St Johnstone. Jamie Murphy put the visitors 2-0 up at half-time, while Nicky Law added a third after the break, and David Robertson got a consolation for St Johnstone two minutes from time.

A Billy McKay penalty gave Inverness Caledonian Thistle all three points against 10-man Kilmarnock.

Ross County held off fourth-placed Aberdeen for a 2-1 home win, despite the Dons having twice as many shots.

Results in full: Dundee 1-0 Hearts, Hibernian 2-1 St Mirren, Kilmarnock 1-2 Inverness, Ross County 2-1 Aberdeen, St Johnstone 1-3 Motherwell
