Hibernian boss Alan Stubbs: 'League position irrelevant right now'

Hibernian boss Alan Stubbs warns Rangers that the title race is far from over.

Hibernian manager Alan Stubbs has fired a warning to Scottish Championship leaders Rangers following his side's 2-1 win over Livingston.

The Hibs boss was keen to point out that there is a "long, long way to go" in the title race after cutting the gap at the top to two points.

"At 2-0 we were in command of the game and a little bit of carelessness let them in. We had plenty of chances so is 2-1 a fair reflection on the game? Probably not," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"We weren't at the level we've been at but the most important thing is we've won the game.

"Where we are in the league is irrelevant. All we've done is win another game of football and there's a long, long way to go."

A brace from James Keatings secured maximum points for Hibs, who have played one game more than Rangers.
