Hibernian's 10-match unbeaten run was resoundingly ended this evening as Greenock Morton won 3-0 at Easter Road in the Scottish Championship.
Hibs started on top and went close twice through Anthony Stokes before Jason Cummings had a header saved by Derek Gaston.
John McGinn's effort was then chalked off before Morton took the lead against the run of play in the 36th minute through Thomas O'Ware, who headed home a corner.
Hibs rattled the crossbar through Cummings shortly after half time, but soon it was two for the visitors as Denny Johnstone scrambled home.
Morton then put the game out of the hosts' reach shortly after the hour mark when Bobby Barr surged down the left and cut back for Ross Forbes to slide home.
Hibs stay second and miss the chance to close the gap on Rangers, while Morton climb up to fifth and within a point of the playoffs.
