Former Middlesbrough midfielder Kevin Thomson has put pen to paper on a new one-year contract at Hibernian.
The 28-year-old moved to Easter Road in March and played for free for the final two months of last season.
"We said last year when Kevin came in that his fitness levels probably weren't where they needed to be," Hibs manager Pat Fenlon told reporters.
"He's had a great pre-season and he's looking very, very sharp at the moment and he'll be a great addition to the squad."
Thomson began his career at Hibs before leaving to join Rangers in 2007 and subsequently moving to Middlesbrough in 2010.
