Wednesday's Championship predictions including Huddersfield Town vs. Barnsley

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Wednesday's Championship fixtures, including Huddersfield Town vs. Barnsley.

Millwall vs. Bournemouth (Wednesday, 6.00pm)

Bournemouth will be looking to maintain their superb run of form in their pursuit of a playoff place when they travel to Millwall on Wednesday evening.

The Cherries have won six Championship games in a row to move into fifth, while Millwall's top-six hopes are effectively over after two games without a win.

We say: Millwall 0-1 Bournemouth

It has been more than two years since Millwall lost back-to-back home matches, but we can see that being the case on Wednesday evening.

Bournemouth have been in fantastic form and have the quality to maintain that run into the playoffs, with another win here all but confirming a top-six spot.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Rotherham vs. Middlesbrough (Wednesday, 6.00pm)

Rotherham United are running out of time to claw themselves out of the Championship relegation zone as they prepare for the visit of Middlesbrough.

The Millers have lost back-to-back games without scoring to remain 22nd, while Boro are officially out of the playoff race after also losing successive matches.

We say: Rotherham United 1-1 Middlesbrough

Both teams are out of form, but there is no doubt that Rotherham have far more riding on this match than Boro, who are now jostling for position in upper-mid-table.

Boro boss Warnock has lost just one of his 18 managerial games against United - albeit that loss coming earlier this year - and we can see the visitors claiming at least a point.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Wycombe vs. Bristol City (Wednesday, 7.00pm)

Bristol City will go in search of a first win in seven games on Wednesday, as they travel to take on Wycombe Wanderers, who sit at the foot of the Championship table.

An upturn in form has just about kept the mathematical hopes of survival alive for the hosts, while their visitors have dropped to 14th spot with just three points from their last six matches.

We say: Wycombe Wanderers 1-2 Bristol City

Despite the contrasting form of the two sides, we see Bristol City coming out of Saturday's game with a narrow victory to potentially confirm Wycombe's relegation.

Their impressive response in the game against Sheffield Wednesday could be a sign of them potentially turning the corner, and we see the Chairboys falling just short if the Robins can build on that positive result.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Stoke vs. Coventry (Wednesday, 7.00pm)

On the hunt for a third consecutive league win, Mark Robins's Coventry City travel to Staffordshire on Wednesday to take on Stoke City.

Three victories from the last four games have seen the Sky Blues move up to 18th spot in the Championship table, all but confirming their safety after they previously sat worryingly close to the drop zone, while the hosts will be looking to end a three-game winless run on Wednesday.

We say: Stoke City 0-1 Coventry City

The visitors have found momentum at exactly the right time this season, all but confirming their survival, and we see them extending their strong run on Wednesday.

Robins's men will still be wary of taking their foot off the gas, and will know that another victory should see them home and dry, while their hosts have suffered from having very little to play for at this stage of the campaign.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Birmingham vs. Nott'm Forest (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Birmingham City will be looking to take another giant step towards Championship safety when they host Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest on Wednesday evening.

The Blues have won back-to-back matches to move up to 19th and just one point behind opponents Forest, who are winless in their last two games.

We say: Birmingham City 1-0 Nottingham Forest

Birmingham look a completely different side under Bowyer, who could make a bit of history should the Blues win again at St Andrew's in midweek.

The hosts have gone four games without conceding, whereas Forest have fired successive blanks, so we are backing Bowyer's men to edge this Midlands derby.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Huddersfield vs. Barnsley (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Barnsley will be looking to pick themselves up in their quest to nail down a place in the playoffs when they travel to Huddersfield Town on Wednesday evening.

The Tykes suffered a shock 2-0 loss at Coventry City on Sunday to remain sixth, while Huddersfield strengthened their survival hopes with a win by the same scoreline at Nottingham Forest.

We say: Huddersfield Town 0-2 Barnsley

Barnsley will be eager to show that their loss to Coventry was just a blip, having won their previous six away matches before the trip to St Andrew's.

Like their opponents, Huddersfield are also in need of a victory, but they have not won back-to-back matches since early December and we cannot see that changing here.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Luton vs. Reading (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Luton Town's James Collins celebrates scoring their first goal against Watford in the Championship on April 17, 2021© Reuters

Reading cannot afford to drop any more points in their bid to finish in the Championship top six as they prepare to face Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

The Royals have won just one of their last seven games to lose ground on the playoffs, while Luton have climbed up to 13th thanks to back-to-back victories.

We say: Luton Town 3-1 Reading

Reading have a good record against Luton and won 5-0 on their most recent visit to Kenilworth Road.

There is no chance of a repeat scoreline here, though, with the Hatters now in a far better shape.

Only three teams have collected more points than Luton over their last six Championship games, and we can see them recording another victory here.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
