Half-Time Report: James Vaughan double puts Huddersfield Town ahead

Two James Vaughan goals have helped Huddersfield Town to a 3-0 half-time lead against Bournemouth this afternoon.

Huddersfield Town are currently 3-0 up against Bournemouth at half time.

James Vaughan has continued his recent scoring form, netting twice in the opening 45 minutes to put the hosts in a commanding position.

Huddersfield started strongly and took the lead after 14 minutes, thanks to an individual effort from Adam Hammill, who cut in from the right, beat a couple of players and smashed the ball in off the far post.

Vaughan almost scored midway through the half but the goalkeeper made an excellent finger tip save from his powerful shot.

He was not to be denied for long though, as Vaughan rose highest to meet Hammill's cross and double his side's lead.

The Huddersfield forward then got his second goal of the day, running on to a through-ball, controlling well and smashing past the goalkeeper from just inside the box to give his side comfortable half-time lead.
