Huddersfield Town defender Tommy Smith has been discharged from hospital after suffering a head injury in his side's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Leeds United on Saturday.
The 22-year-old was knocked unconscious after he collided with goalkeeper Joe Murphy in the build-up to Billy Sharp's winning goal, and was treated on the pitch before being airlifted to hospital.
He remained in a stable condition at Leeds General Infirmary overnight, but was released today and will now continue his recovery at home.
The club's official Twitter account posted this message earlier today: "Tommy Smith has been discharged and is now home. #htafc is looking forward to seeing him back in action once he gets the full all-clear!"
Smith has made 48 appearances for Huddersfield since making his debut in 2013.
