Hertha Berlin defender Marvin Plattenhardt has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Huddersfield Town.
Plattenhardt has established himself as one of the best left-backs in the Bundesliga, and was part of the Germany squad which went out of the World Cup group stages last month.
Everton have already been linked with a move for the 26-year-old but according to The Mirror, Huddersfield are ready to join the race for the full-back.
David Wagner has previously shown that he is prepared to look for deals back in his homeland, and the acquisition of Plattenhardt would represent a way to strengthen his Terriers squad after they successfully avoided relegation in their first campaign in the Premier League.
Wagner has already been active in the transfer market this summer, with Ben Hamer, Terence Kongolo, Juninho Bacuna and Ramadan Sobhi making the permanent switch to the John Smith's Stadium.
