Huddersfield Town have reportedly emerged as surprise contenders to sign AC Milan striker Andre Silva this summer.
Silva has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League during the current transfer window, although newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers were understood to be leading the race for his signature.
However, Sky Sports News reports that Huddersfield could now rival Wolves should the Portugal international leave Milan.
Silva is understood to be open to the idea of a move away from San Siro, having struggled to hold down a regular starting role with the Italian giants last season, making only seven starts in Serie A.
Huddersfield, meanwhile, retained their Premier League status by finishing 16th in the table, but are in the market for attacking reinforcements having ended the campaign as the joint-lowest scorers.
Milan could also be tempted to sell the 22-year-old in order to help them comply with Financial Fair Play rules.
