Hull City have been unable to find a breakthrough in the first half of their League Cup first-round clash with Accrington Stanley.
The Tigers dominated the possession from the first whistle in front of their visiting supporters, but chances were difficult to come by for much of the early stages as Accrington offered signs that they would be difficult to break down.
Hull were left frustrated for long spells as Steve Bruce's side struggled to find their rhythm on the ball, before Sone Aluko dragged an effort wide to bring the game to life.
Nikica Jelavic then wasted a great opportunity to break the deadlock when he fired over after Accrington goalkeeper Jason Mooney had failed to collect from a corner.
However, the lead could have belonged to Accrington at the interval had Matt Crooks not sent his header over from Anthony Barry's free kick.
