Hull City manager Steve Bruce believes that the fans need to respect owner Assem Allam for wanting to rebrand the club Hull Tigers.
Today, it was confirmed that the Premier League outfit have re-applied to the Football Association after being knocked back twice in their attempts to change the club's name.
A number of fans expressed their discontent when plans were first introduced by Allam, but Bruce believes that the owner deserves respect for what he has put into the club.
"The owner's views will not change, we have to respect that," Bruce told reporters. "For what he has done for the club, and put it on the map, and put his hard earned money, he is entitled to have his opinion.
"Hopefully there is a middle ground but we have to put it to one side. We want Hull City/Hull Tigers in the Premier League next season. That is the main aim. If we have to play in in pink shirts and frilly knickers, then we might complain. It will rumble on."
Hull are hopeful that a decision will be made before the start of the 2015-16 season.
