Hull City are keen for Nick Barmby to be come the club's manager on a permanent basis.

Hull City are keen for Nick Barmby to remain as the club's manager on a permanent basis, according to director of football operations Adam Pearson.

The former England international has guided the Tigers to five wins from seven matches since taking over on temporary terms from Neil Pearson, who opted to rejoin Leicester City.

The 37-year-old has yet to announce whether he would to take the job full-time, but Pearson has said that the board are keen for him to extend his stay.

"We are comfortable with how things are going," Pearson told the Yorkshire Post. "Nick is doing a very good job and the atmosphere around the club and training ground is great.

"There is a real sense of togetherness that Nick has fostered along with a desire to be successful.

"The club wants Nick to stay and he seems to be enjoying the role so we will see what happens in the future."

Hull are currently fourth in the Championship table.
