Hull City will reportedly make a bid for Lorient striker Vincent Aboubakar following the departure of Shane Long.
The Republic of Ireland international joined Southampton for £12m earlier this month, while moves by the Tigers for Danny Welbeck and Troy Deeney have stalled.
According to The Mirror, Steve Bruce's side have decided that they have been priced out of the English market, so will place a £9m bid for the Cameroon forward.
Aboubakar scored 16 goals for Lorient in Ligue 1 last season.
