Kasper Schmeichel denies transfer request

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has quelled speculation that he has put in a transfer request at the Championship club.

It had been suggested that the 26-year-old was attempting to push through a move to Hull City, but the Dane has insisted that he will not be asking to leave.

"Contrary to reports I have never put a transfer request in and won't be," the shot-stopper tweeted.

Schmeichel, widely regarded as the best goalkeeper in the Championship, has one year remaining on his contract with Leicester.
