Separated by just one point in the upper echelon of the Argentine Primera Division standings, Huracan and Godoy Cruz square off at the Estadio Tomas Adolfo Duco on Wednesday.
Rodolfo Diego Flores's side will be seeking to pick up a fifth consecutive victory across all competitions for the first time since winning six straight games back in April 2018.
Match preview
Huracan failed to make use of their numerical advantage on Sunday as they were held to a somewhat disappointing goalless draw by 10-man Union.
In a game where Franco Calderon received his marching orders, Diego Dabove's side failed to pose any real threat at the attacking end of the pitch before setting for a share of the spoils at the Estadio 15 de Abril.
Prior to that, Huracan were on a run of three consecutive victories, seeing off Colon, River Plate and Lunus respectively, while scoring six goals and conceding four in that time.
The Globo head into Wednesday unbeaten in seven straight outings, claiming four wins and three draws since a 2-0 loss to Racing Club in their league opener on June 5.
Godoy Cruz, on the other hand, put on a fine show of fighting spirit last time out as they came from behind to claim a 2-1 victory over Lanus at the Estadio Feliciano Gambarte.
Twenty-three-year-old midfielder Martin Ojeda turned in a performance of the highest quality as he set up Salomon Rodriguez's first-half equaliser before finding the target in the 62nd minute to complete the turnaround.
The Tomba are now unbeaten in six consecutive outings since June's 1-0 loss to Rosario Central, winning each of their most recent four, including a 3-1 victory over Lanus in the round of 32 of the Copa Argentina on July 13.
Godoy Cruz have picked up five wins, one draw and lost two of their eight Primera Division games so far to collect 18 points and sit top of the standings, one point above Wednesday's visitors.
Next up for Flores's side is an opposing side against whom they are unbeaten against in each of their last four encounters, claiming two wins and two draws since a 2-1 defeat in November 2018.

Team News
Huracan will once again have to make do without the defensive duo of Ismael Quilez and Cesar Ibanez, who are recuperating from muscle and ACL injuries respectively.
Fabian Henriquez came off with a foot injury against Colon on June 25 and the Argentine midfielder is set to sit out his fourth game on the bounce.
Meanwhile, off the back of an individually brilliant performance at the weekend, Ojeda now boasts seven goal involvements in eight league appearances and the 23-year-old will be one to keep an eye on.
He should team up with Uruguayan forward Salomon Rodriguez and Instituto Cordoba loanee Tadeo Allende in the final third, while Gonzalo Abrego and Juan Andrada should form the two-man midfield pivot once again.
At the defensive end of the pitch, Pier Barrios and Guillermo Ortiz have been ever-present for the Tomba this season and we expect them to form the centre-back pairing, with 33-year-old Diego Rodriguez between the sticks.
Huracan possible starting lineup:
Chaves, Soto, Tobio, Merolla, Perez; Hezze, Cristaldo, Fattori; Gudino, Garre, Coccaro
Godoy Cruz possible starting lineup:
D Rodriguez; Breitenbruch, Barrios, Ortiz, Negri; Allende, Abrego, Andrada; Ojeda, S Rodriguez, Bullaude
We say: Huracan 2-2 Godoy Cruz
With just one point separating the Huracan and Godoy Cruz, we anticipate a cagey contest with both sides taking the game to each other in search of all three points. They head into the game in similar form and we predict that the spoils will be shared in a thrilling draw.
