Inter Miami owner David Beckham has supposedly held talks with Lionel Messi over a move to the MLS outfit when his Paris Saint-Germain deal expires.
The six-time Ballon d'Or winner was unable to extend his stay at Barcelona due to financial obstacles and was forced to bid a tearful farewell to the Catalan club after 21 years of service.
Despite links with Manchester City, PSG won the race for Messi's services when he became a free agent, with the 34-year-old penning a two-year deal with the option of another year at the Parc des Princes.
However, The Mirror claims that Messi's next career move is already being planned out, with Beckham contacting the Argentine to discuss ending his career with Inter Miami.
The report adds that Beckham is determined to bring a world-class name to the MLS club, and before his transfer to PSG was confirmed, Messi was searching for properties in Miami.
The former Newell's Old Boys youngster was not deemed ready for his PSG debut against Brest but is expected to take to the field against Reims on August 29.
