Inter Milan suffer Juan Jesus injury blow

Inter Milan defender Juan Jesus is ruled out for the season after suffering knee ligament damage.

Inter Milan defender Juan Jesus has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering knee ligament damage during his side's 2-2 draw against Bologna.

The Brazilian was replaced after 28 minutes of the match and tests today have revealed the extent of the injury.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Juan Jesus underwent diagnostic procedures this morning after being forced off the pitch in the 28th minute of last night's match against Bologna.

"The examinations revealed a complete rupture of the medial collateral ligament in the defender's right knee."

Jesus has played 27 games for Inter this season, who are currently fifth in the Serie A table.
