The agent of Inter Milan striker Luc Castaignos has claimed that his client is close to joining FC Twente.
Premier League trio West Ham United, Queens Park Rangers and Everton had all been linked with moves for the 19-year-old in recent weeks.
However, representative Karim El Atmani has claimed that the youngster has opted for a return to his homeland in order to continue his development.
"Luc consciously chooses FC Twente because he wants to develop as a footballer again. He has spent a year at Inter, where the money has been good, but now he wants an investment in his future too," El Atmani told De Telegraaf.
"There are still conversations to be had between the two clubs, but it looks very good. Chances are that Luc will go to FC Twente."
Should the deal go through, Castaignos will act as a replacement for Luuk de Jong, who joined Borussia Monchengladbach earlier today.
