Al-Nassr complete the signing of Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan on a three-year contract.

Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has completed his switch from Inter Milan to Al-Nassr on a three-year contract.

The 30-year-old bids farewell to the Nerazzurri following a successful eight-year spell and has committed to the Saudi Pro League giants until the summer of 2026.

Inter are believed to have received a fee of €18m (£15.5m) for Brozovic, who is supposedly set to pocket a mammoth €30m (£25.8m) per season at Al-Nassr.

Brozovic has snubbed interest from Barcelona to arrive in the Middle East, having apparently stalled over a move to Al-Nassr while waiting to receive an offer from the Blaugrana.

However, a bid was not forthcoming, and Brozovic ultimately gave the green light to a move to Saudi Arabia, just one year after extending his contract with Inter until 2026.

Despite the recent influx of players moving to Saudi Arabia, Brozovic has become Al-Nassr's first signing of the summer window, as he links up with Cristiano Ronaldo for the 2023-24 season.

The former Dinamo Zagreb man departs Inter after playing 330 games for the Nerazzurri in all competitions, scoring 31 goals and setting up 43 more in the process.

Brozovic registered three goals and six assists from 40 matches in all competitions during the 2022-23 campaign, although he only started 19 Serie A matches due to injuries and competition for places.

The Croatian was also an unused substitute in their Supercoppa Italiana success over AC Milan, but he played the full 90 in their Coppa Italia and Champions League finals versus Fiorentina and Manchester City respectively.

Brozovic assisted Lautaro Martinez's first goal in the final of the Coppa Italia as Inter secured a 2-1 win, and he wore the captain's armband in the European showpiece in Istanbul, which Inter lost 1-0.

As well as the 2022-23 Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana, Brozovic scooped an identical cup double in the 2021-22 season with Inter, prior to which he was crowned Serie A champion in 2020-21.

The Croatia international - who started the 2018 World Cup final for his nation - joins a collection of high-profile names to head to the Gulf state, including N'Golo Kante, Karim Benzema, Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly.

However, Al-Nassr have apparently been forced to concede defeat in their pursuit of Chelsea's Hakim Ziyech, who is said to have failed two medicals due to knee and hip issues.
