Erick Thohir: 'Inter Milan can't force Fredy Guarin to stay'

Inter Milan president Erick Thohir says that Inter Milan won't force Fredy Guarin to stay at the club if he wishes to leave.

Inter Milan president Erick Thohir has admitted that Fredy Guarin may leave the club during the current transfer window.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to Chelsea, and Thohir has conceded that should one of Europe's biggest clubs submit a satisfactory transfer offer to Inter, then he will be allowed to depart the San Siro.

"Guarin is an excellent player and we'd like to keep him, but when there are offers from big clubs you need to take it into consideration," he told Liputan6.com. "We can't force him to stay if his heart isn't in the club."

Colombia international Guarin joined Inter from Porto in January 2012 on loan, before completing a permanent move four months later.
