Jimmy Bullard reveals his relationship with Ipswich Town fans was a major reason behind him rejoining the club.

Jimmy Bullard has revealed that his relationship with Ipswich Town's supporters was one of the reasons behind his decision to rejoin the club.

The midfielder, who was a free agent after having his contract terminated with Hull City, spent the second half of last season on loan at Portman Road and was voted the supporters' player of the year.

"It's great to be back. I said when I was here before that I enjoyed my time at the club so much," the 32-year-old told the club's official website.

"As soon as I became a free agent and I suddenly had to think about my future, this club was the first that came up in my mind.

"The relationship I had with the supporters here was definitely a factor in me coming back to the club. Knowing that the fans appreciate what you do on the pitch just gives you a real confidence boost and there's no doubting that the fans played a part in my decision."

Bullard has signed a two-year deal with the Blues.
