Ipswich Town are close to signing 19-year-old French-Guinean Cheick Korouma, according to TWTD.com.
The midfielder is a free agent after spending the first half of last season in Italy with Genoa CFC Primavera, Genoa's U20 team.
Kourouma is believed to have joined the Blues on trial towards the end of the campaign, on the recommendation of Ibrahima Sonko, who has since been released by the Suffolk club.
Ipswich, who finished 15th in the Championship last term, have already made one summer signing by bringing in promising 18-year-old defender Elliot Hewitt from Macclesfield.
