Italy have written to UEFA to inform the European governing body that their national anthem was booed during both of their Group C matches in the tournament.
The Azzurri are believed to have been targeted by jeers from Spanish fans during the singing of their national anthem ahead of their 1-1 draw with Spain and the side's draw with Croatia yesterday.
It is understood that Italy have written to UEFA expressing "great regret" that their anthem was marred by negative noises from opposing fans, according to BBC Sport.
Meanwhile, Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner is facing a charge of improper conduct after revealing the logo of a betting company on the waistband of his underpants during the Danes' 3-2 defeat to Portugal on Wednesday.
