Claudio Marchisio: 'Carlos Tevez will be fundamental against Barcelona'

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio believes that Carlos Tevez holds the key to the Italians beating Barcelona in the Champions League final.

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has claimed that teammate Carlos Tevez will be "fundamental" during Saturday's Champions League final against Barcelona.

The striker's 29 goals in all competitions this season have helped the Italians move to within one game of winning the treble.

With Juve heading to Berlin as underdogs, Marchisio believes that Tevez will need to be on top form if they are to lift the trophy.

"Carlos Tevez has been exceptional since he joined us," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "He has not created any problems, he has been humble and available for everybody. He is one of the main strengths of our squad and is an important pillar. He will be fundamental on Saturday."

Tevez joined Juventus from Manchester City in summer 2013 for £12m.
