Gianluigi Buffon wants Europa League win

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has praised his teammates for their response to being eliminated from the Champions League.

The Bianconeri beat Sassuolo 4-0 in their Serie A match on Sunday, just days after their European defeat to Galatasaray, and Buffon was pleased at how they bounced back.

"It was a great response after Wednesday," Football Italia quotes him as saying. "It seems like it's always taken for granted, but that's certainly not the case and to win you always have to suffer.

"We were stung by the elimination, but know there's another trophy – the Europa League – which we'll do our best to win in Turin."

Juventus will face Trabzonspor in the last 32 of the Europa League.
