Half-Time Report: Alvaro Morata cancels out Anthony Mounier opener

Alvaro Morata's goal brings Juventus level against Bologna following Anthony Mounier's early opener for the visitors.

Alvaro Morata has brought Juventus level against Bologna after Anthony Mounier's early goal in Turin.

The Bianconeri, who made it two wins from two in the Champions League against Sevilla on Wednesday, were almost ahead when Giorgio Chiellini teed up Morata, but the Spaniard's shot was saved by Antonio Mirante.

However, it was Bologna who took the lead within moments as former Montpellier man Mounier latched on to Adam Masina's cross before sending his left-footed strike past Gianluigi Buffon.

Juve tried to hit back immediately with Paulo Dybala's cross reaching Morata, only for the forward's effort to drift off target.

Paul Pogba then tried to drag his team level as he drilled a low effort, but was unable to breach the defences of Mirante.

The Serie A champions went close again as Dybala's corner found the head of Patrice Evra, but the full-back's header failed to test Mirante as it flew over the bar.

Juve finally got back on terms 12 minutes before the interval as Morata rifled the ball home from close range.
