Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio back in next seven days

A thigh complaint is only expected to keep Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio out of action for seven days.

Juventus have confirmed that the injury Claudio Marchisio sustained against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night was not serious.

The 30-year-old limped off after 45 minutes of the encounter in Turin with a thigh complaint.

A subsequent scan has revealed that no tear of the muscle was suffered, just a slight strain.

He is expected to be sidelined for seven days, which will rule him out of this weekend's Serie A clash and next Wednesday's Coppa Italia tie - both against Inter Milan.
