How Juventus could line up against Sampdoria

Sports Mole looks at how Juventus could line up in Sunday's Serie A clash with Sampdoria.

Juventus will welcome Sampdoria on Sunday night knowing that a win would see them secure their ninth straight Serie A title.

The Old Lady passed up the chance to land the championship on Thursday as they lost at Udinese, but Maurizio Sarri's side have another opportunity to get the job done this weekend.

Juve have actually only won one of their last five in the league to allow the likes of Atalanta BC, Inter Milan and Lazio into the race in the final stages of the campaign.

However, Sarri's team will be confident of landing the Scudetto on Sunday night.

Here, Sports Mole looks at the home side could line up against Sampdoria.

POSS JUV XI vs. SAM

Out: Giorgio Chiellini (muscle), Mattia De Sciglio (thigh), Sami Khedira (tendon)
Doubtful: Gonzalo Higuain (leg)

Juve were without Leonardo Bonucci against Udinese through suspension, but the experienced defender is available for this game and should return to the heart of the back four alongside Matthijs de Ligt.

Juan Cuadrado and Blaise Matuidi are also pushing for starts, with the pair potentially replacing Danilo and Aaron Ramsey at right-back and in central midfield respectively.

Giorgio Chiellini, Mattia De Sciglio and Sami Khedira are all still definitely on the sidelines for the Old Lady, while Gonzalo Higuain will face a late fitness test on a leg injury.

The champions did not pick up any fresh injury concerns against Udinese, though, and therefore the bulk of the XI that featured in the 2-1 defeat should continue here.

Perhaps the only other talking point involves whether Federico Bernardeschi or Douglas Costa gets the nod alongside Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo in attack, but the former is the favourite to keep his spot.
