Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will sit out this afternoon's home fixture with Pescara.

Juventus coach Antonio Conte has revealed that Gianluigi Buffon will miss today's visit of Pescara through illness.

Marco Storari will start in his absence, with Conte hailing the 36-year-old as a worthy stand-in.

"Storari will be in goal," Conte told reporters. "Gigi was suffering with illness after the Inter game and it popped up again after Bayern.

"Behind him here is a great goalkeeper who would be first-choice in any other Serie A side.

"If I didn't have the guarantee of a player like Storari, then I'd ask Gigi to make a sacrifice."

Juventus are currently nine points clear at the top of Serie A.
