Sunday's Serie A predictions including Juventus vs. Salernitana

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Juventus vs. Salernitana.

Lazio vs. Empoli (Sunday, 11.30am)

Still in contention for an unlikely place in next season's Champions League, Lazio seek maximum points when they host relegation-threatened Empoli on Sunday.

Three wins from four have kept the Rome club in touch with Italy's top six, while the visitors travel to Stadio Olimpico with their Serie A status in serious danger.

We say: Lazio 2-0 Empoli

The combination of Lazio's improved home form and Empoli's woes on the road indicate only one outcome at Stadio Olimpico: the hosts should claim three points, while their visitors stay deep in danger at the wrong end of Serie A.

Genoa vs. Sassuolo (Sunday, 2.00pm)

With the 2023-24 Serie A season winding down, Genoa host relegation-threatened Sassuolo at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday, keen to extend their unbeaten run to three games.

Unlike their opponents, the hosts have little to play for in the campaign's concluding weeks, even if the Rossoblu have stayed competitive nonetheless, and nothing less should be expected in gameweek 36's encounter with the Neroverdi.

We say: Genoa 1-1 Sassuolo

While Sassuolo may be buoyed by last weekend's win over the Serie A champions, they are not expected to follow it up with success at Genoa, who have avoided losing at the Marassi to any of the struggling sides, with their home defeats against Fiorentina, Milan, Atalanta, Monza and Lazio.

Hellas Verona vs. Torino (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Inching closer to securing their Serie A status, Hellas Verona have won two of their last three games ahead of Sunday's clash with mid-table Torino.

After upsetting Fiorentina last week, the Gialloblu could even confirm top-flight survival with a win at Stadio Bentegodi, but their visitors have not yet given up on snatching a place in Europe.

We say: Hellas Verona 1-1 Torino

If other results go their way, victory would see Verona to safety, but nine of their last 13 league meetings with Torino have ended in draws - recent trends suggest that could be the outcome again on Sunday afternoon.

Juventus vs. Salernitana (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Warming up for next week's Coppa Italia final, Juventus will welcome Serie A's bottom side Salernitana to Turin on Sunday.

Victory would seal Champions League qualification for the Bianconeri, but four straight draws have left them glancing over their shoulder at several teams behind them.

We say: Juventus 2-0 Salernitana

Juve will end their winless run at the expense of a hapless Salernitana side that could finish the season with just 15 points: the hosts will try to get victory wrapped up as early as possible, before conserving some energy for next week's cup final.

Atalanta vs. Roma (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Two teams that experienced very different emotions following their Europa League semi-finals will meet in Serie A's Sunday-night contest, as Atalanta BC welcome Roma to Bergamo.

After La Dea reached a first-ever European final and the Giallorossi became Bayer Leverkusen's latest victims, both sides resume their fight for a precious top-five finish.

We say: Atalanta BC 0-0 Roma

Atalanta often falter against other teams in Serie A's top six, while Roma are rarely at their best away from home. Following intense Europa League semi-finals, both will also be weary, so this crucial contest could end in a stalemate.
