Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta has revealed that the club will not make a second bid for Marek Hamsik in January.
Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed earlier this week that Napoli had turned down a €25m offer for their star midfielder on transfer deadline day.
However, Juventus signed Hernanes instead from rivals Inter Milan and Marotta insists the Bianconeri will not make another attempt to sign Hamsik in the next transfer window.
"I don't think negotiations can resume for Hamsik in January because we brought in Hernanes, who is a major player," Marotta is quoted as saying by Goal.com.
"On the market we always try to sign the best players. We could not get all of our targets, but we have a large group, which last year won everything except the Champions League.
"We are a strong club and we are used to winning but also used to suffering."
