Ten-man FC Koln edge Eintracht Frankfurt in six-goal thriller

Three second-half goals give FC Koln a 4-2 victory against Eintracht Frankfurt in their Bundesliga clash at the RheinEnergieStadion.

FC Koln were reduced to 10 men against Eintracht Frankfurt but still managed to secure a 4-2 win in this afternoon's Bundesliga clash at the RheinEnergieStadion.

Deyverson opened the scoring for the hosts just before the half-hour mark when he marauded into the opposition box before tucking the ball into the bottom corner.

Alexander Meier then levelled for Frankfurt on the hour when he bundled home from close range following a corner kick.

The hosts surged in front again 72 minutes in courtesy of Marcel Risse, who collected Kevin Vogt's pass before slotting past goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.

Yusa Osako and Anthony Ujah went on to add a goal apiece in the space of three minutes to give Koln an insurmountable 4-1 lead with eight minutes to go.

There was time for more drama as defender Kevin Wimmer was sent off at the death for bringing Haris Seferovic down in the box, with Meier stepping up and converting the subsequent penalty to make the scoreline more respectable for Frankfurt.

Koln climb to 11th in the Bundesliga table following their win, while Frankfurt remain ninth.
