Lazio 'considering Ignacio Camacho move'

A report claims that Lazio could move for Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

Lazio are reportedly interested in signing Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

Camacho, who started his professional career with Atletico Madrid, has made 160 appearances for Malaga in all competitions, scoring 14 times in the process.

The 27-year-old was strongly linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion in last summer's transfer window, but it is understood that the move broke down at the final moment.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Lazio, who finished fifth in Serie A last season, want to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Camacho's future by launching a move.

It is thought that Camacho has a release clause of £15.6m inserted into his current deal at La Rosaleda.
