Leeds United and Burnley have shared a goalless first half at Elland Road in their opening fixture of the new Championship season, despite both sides creating several chances to open the scoring.
The home side struck the woodwork inside the first 10 minutes as Sam Byram charged down the flank before playing it in for Stuart Dallas, but Tom Heaton did just enough to tip the ball onto the crossbar.

Burnley wanted a penalty when the ball appeared to strike Giuseppe Bellusci on the arm as he was attempting to slow a run from Lukas Jutkiewicz, but referee Kevin Friend was not convinced.
Bellusci made his presence felt down the other end soon after as he tried his luck with a shot from 30 yards out, but his finish was straight at Heaton.
It was Burnley who started to look the more likely as the opening period progressed, with Jutkiewicz forcing his way through to set up Michael Kightly, before Jelle Vossen volleyed just wide.
Leeds got the ball back down the other end shortly before the interval, forcing a corner, but Sol Bamba could not head it on from Alex Mowatt's delivery at the near corner.
