Stephen Warnock's first-half strike has put Leeds United 1-0 up over Bolton Wanderers at half-time at Elland Road this afternoon.
Bolton did not get off to the best of starts as David Wheater picked up an injury in the seventh minute, meaning that he had to be replaced by Dorian Dervite at the back.
Despite the early injury, it was Bolton who created the game's first meaningful chance when Jay Spearing played in Joe Mason, who saw his shot saved in the top corner by Marco Silvestri.
Leeds built on the work of their goalkeeper as they took the lead in the 17th minute. Warnock collected Billy Sharp's pass before drilling across goal and into the bottom right corner to make it 1-0.
The hosts could have taken a 2-0 lead into the break, but Sharp was denied by Adam Bogdan, who kept out his headed effort from Scott Wootton's cross.
