Roberto Di Matteo will reportedly turn down an opportunity to become Leeds United's new manager.

Former Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo will reportedly turn down the chance to be appointed as Leeds United's new boss.

The Championship outfit, who are in the hunt for a new coach following the departure of Neil Warnock, have been linked with the 42-year-old, who emerged as the bookmakers' favourite yesterday.

Despite Di Matteo's odds being slashed, the ex-Chelsea boss will reject any potential offers from Elland Road in favour of another job, according to the Daily Star.

Reports have claimed that Di Matteo is being considered for the managerial position at German club Schalke 04.
