Brighton & Hove Albion manager Oscar Garcia has refused to blame the referee for his team's late defeat to Leeds United.
Luke Murphy swooped in the fourth minute of injury time to seal a 2-1 victory on his debut at Elland Road, although he appeared to handle the ball before putting it into the net.
"I couldn't see it," PA quotes Garcia as saying. "Everybody said yes, it was handball, but to be a referee is very difficult and I can understand if he did not see a handball.
"It is more disappointing when we had a chance to score five minutes before. Leeds are a physical team and more so when they play at home so we knew it would be tough. We had our chances and did not take them, so we got this result."
The Seagulls had taken an early 1-0 lead through Leonardo Ulloa before Ross McCormack's equaliser.
