Yeovil Town boss Gary Johnson has insisted that Brian McDermott is the right man to manage Leeds United.
The 52-year-old was reportedly sacked last Friday, before being reinstated by the Elland Road club over the weekend.
Johnson, whose Yeovil side face Leeds on Saturday, believes that the club's prospective new owner Massimo Cellino should take note of the supporters' wishes.
"People will say they are in turmoil but their turmoil last week was a 5-1 win against Huddersfield," Johnson told the Western Gazette.
"I'm sure Brian will be there and I'm sure they will have their manager back on the touchline, which is good because he is the man for that job.
"It's a fantastic club with bit support and the Leeds fans want Brian to stay. Whoever comes in does need to be aware of what the fans want and what they think because they are the ones that have got to keep the club going forward."
Cellino has agreed to purchase a 75% stake in the South Yorkshire club.
