Nicola Salerno has left his role as sporting director at Leeds United, the club have announced.
Last summer, the 58-year-old played a role in the transfers of over a dozen players from overseas, but the Yorkshire giants have revealed that an agreement has been reached for him to leave the position by mutual consent.
A statement read: "We can confirm that a mutual agreement has been reached for Nicola Salerno to depart the club from his role as sporting director.
"Leeds United would like to thank Nicola for his efforts over the past year and he will always be welcomed back to Elland Road in the future."
Last month, it was announced that Uwe Rosler would replace Neil Redfearn as manager at Elland Road.
