Nottingham Forest are reportedly targeting Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djibril Sow as their latest addition to the engine room.
The Tricky Trees have already welcomed Remo Freuler, Orel Mangala and Lewis O'Brien to the club in a hectic summer of spending but are still in the market for more additions.
According to talkSPORT, Steve Cooper's side have now made their move for Sow, tabling a bid worth £17m to Die Adler for the Switzerland international's services.
The report adds that the Europa League winners are now weighing up the bid for the Switzerland international, who has two years left to run on his contract at the Deutsche Bank Park.
Sow has recorded four goals and 12 assists in 116 outings for Frankfurt since joining from Young Boys in 2019 and has started both of their Bundesliga games in the 2022-23 season.

From the City Ground to the Amex Stadium, and Brighton & Hove Albion are in the hunt for a new left-sided defender after selling Marc Cucurella to Chelsea for a club-record fee.
The Seagulls' search for defensive reinforcements has supposedly led them to target Villarreal's Pervis Estupinan, who reached the semi-finals of the Champions League with the Yellow Submarine last term.
The Daily Mail reports that Graham Potter's side have now opened talks over a move for the 24-year-old, who was also rumoured to have been a target of Nottingham Forest.
Estupinan was on the books at Watford for three years before leaving to sign for Villarreal in 2020, and his contract at La Ceramica runs until the summer of 2027.
The Ecuador international came up with two assists in 41 games across all tournaments for Unai Emery's side last season and started seven Champions League matches en route to the semi-finals last season.

Over at Elland Road, a new left-back could also be on the agenda of Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch, with Stuart Dallas and Junior Firpo still confined to the treatment room.
Pascal Struijk has been used as a makeshift left-back during the early stages of the 2022-23 season, but the Whites could now dip into their war chest to bolster their full-back ranks.
According to journalist Manuel Veth, Philadelphia Union defender Kai Wagner is on Leeds' radar, but Benfica and Dinamo Zagreb are also keeping a close eye on the German.
Wagner has four goals and 17 assists to his name from 117 appearances for the MLS side, winning the Supporters' Shield in the 2020 season, and he has played every minute of the 2022 campaign so far.
The 25-year-old was briefly on the books at Schalke before arriving in the USA in 2019, and while his contract is due to expire at the end of the calendar year, the Union can extend it by a further season.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa could once again be forced to spend big on a defender this summer in the wake of Diego Carlos's devastating Achilles rupture.
The former Sevilla man nearly came through Saturday's 2-1 win over Everton unscathed, but in the dying embers of the match, he was in visible agony after sustaining the injury.
Villa have now confirmed that Carlos will require surgery, leaving Steven Gerrard to work with Tyrone Mings, Calum Chambers, Ezri Konsa and Kortney Hause - the latter of whom is also currently injured - at the back.
As a result of Carlos's injury, The Mirror reports that the Villans will try to sign another centre-back before the summer window closes, but no specific names are mentioned.
Carlos will hope to return to competitive action before the end of the season, but Villa must now prepare to cope without the 29-year-old for several months.
