Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Finnish midfielder Mika Vayrynen.
The 29-year-old has put pen to paper on a 12-month deal at Elland Road, with the option for a second year.
Vayrynen had previously played in the Dutch Eredivisie for Heerenveen before being released in the summer.
"There were good offers from clubs on the continent but he's turned them down because of his ambition to play for us," manager Simon Grayson told the club's official website.
"He has won over 50 caps and has a fantastic pedigree. He can play as an attacking or holding midfielder."
Leeds, who are currently 13th in the Championship, entertain Bristol City on Saturday.
