Sunderland are reportedly looking to part with £8m to sign Leeds United youngster Sam Byram.
Leeds have already turned down a £4.5m bid from an unnamed Premier League club, according to The Mirror, but could well be tempted to cash in if the offer is right.
Manchester City, Liverpool, Southampton and West Ham United are also said to be chasing Byram, who can play anywhere along the right flank.
Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat is also apparently keen on Sebastian Coates, who was on loan at the Stadium of Light last season.
Byram, 21, has made 119 appearances for Leeds since making his debut three years ago.
