Serie A winners Inter Milan have reportedly joined their rivals AC Milan in the race to sign Aston Villa right-back Matty Cash.
There is a belief that Aston Villa may have to sell players before the end of June to meet the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.
As a result, the Villans are open to selling Cash at the right price despite being keen to retain the full-back's services.
A recent report claimed that Italian giants AC Milan have held talks over signing the Poland international this summer.
According to journalist Gianluca di Marzio, Inter are set to compete with their city rivals after identifying Cash as a potential target.
Simone Inzaghi's side have seemingly earmarked Cash as a possible replacement for Dutch wing-back Denzel Dumfries, who is yet to sign an extension on his current contract which will expire at the end of the next season.
In addition to Cash, Inter are also considering Bologna and Switzerland international Dan Ndoye as an alternative option.

Everton closing in on Harrison deal
Everton have reportedly made progress in talks over re-signing Leeds United winger Jack Harrison on another loan deal.
The 27-year-old joined the Toffees on a season-long loan move last summer following Leeds' relegation to the Championship.
Harrison scored three goals and contributed three assists in 29 top-flight matches, helping Everton secure survival despite having to contend with an eight-point deduction.
According to the Daily Mail, Everton are closing in on a deal to bring Harrison back to Goodison Park for the 2024-25 season.
The report claims the Toffees are making progress in negotiations over another loan move, with Harrison believed to be keen to return to the Merseyside club.
Everton are not expected to pay a loan fee to re-sign the wideman this summer, but they will cover his wages in full.
Harrison, who has made over 200 appearances for Leeds, still has four years left to run on his contract after signing an extension in April 2023.

Bayern considering Chiesa move
Over in Germany, Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing Juventus and Italy winger Federico Chiesa this summer.
Chiesa is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract, and talks over a new deal have failed to make any significant progress.
The 26-year-old is currently focused on representing Italy at Euro 2024, but he will discuss his future with his representatives once the tournament is over.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, German giants Bayern are one of the clubs keeping a close eye on Chiesa's situation at Juventus.
There is a belief that Juventus will demand a fee in the region of €30m (£25.4m) to €40m (£33.8m) to part ways with Chiesa this summer.
Bayern are preparing for their first season under Vincent Kompany, and they will be determined to improve upon their trophyless 2023-24 campaign.
Chiesa would add to Bayern's impressive attacking options which currently include Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Mathys Tel and Kingsley Coman.
The Italian has made 131 competitive appearances during his time with Juventus, scoring 32 goals and providing 23 assists.
