Aston Villa have reportedly emerged as favourites to sign Lille midfielder Anwar El Ghazi.
The West Midlands outfit are looking to make additions before the end of the summer transfer window, and it appears that they have the opportunity to bring in a player who has won two caps for the Netherlands.
According to L'Equipe, Lille need to raise funds and are prepared to part ways with El Ghazi for a fee in the region of €5m (£4.5m).
Villa were unable to make any permanent signings earlier this summer, but the arrival of new owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens has given the club more leeway in the market.
Leeds United are also said to be interested in the former Ajax playmaker, but the report claims that Villa are in pole position to sign the 23-year-old.
