West Ham United are reportedly on the verge of finalising a deal with Silkeborg for promising Danish centre-back Frederik Alves Ibsen.
The 20-year-old has previously attracted interest from Leeds United after catching the eye with his performances in the Superliga last term, even though his side were relegated.
According to the Daily Mail, though, West Ham are now expected to wrap up an agreement with Ibsen's representatives, who have recently been in London.
Ibsen made his debut for Silkeborg in September 2018 and has been a regular ever since, making 45 senior appearances in total.
The Hammers have been on the lookout for defensive options after missing out on Burnley's James Tarkowski in the summer window.
