Half-Time Report: Andy King scores equaliser to level scores at DW Stadium

Wigan Athletic fail to hold on as Leicester City hit back to make it 1-1 at half time in their Championship meeting.

Wigan Athletic and Leicester City have ended the first half of their Championship meeting level at 1-1.

Leicester threatened from a corner early on when Liam Moore won a header in the box, but his effort was cleared off the line by Nick Powell.

Both sides were looking to dominate the game, and Powell was involved once again in the 12th minute as he saw his header strike the crossbar.

Jack Collison looked set to break the deadlock after combining with Powell, but the Welsh midfielder was left frustrated as Kasper Schmeichel came off his line to block the shot.

However, Wigan did manage to take the lead in the 37th minute thanks to Ivan Ramis, who lost his marker inside the box to head home a free kick from Jordi Gomez.

Leicester responded impressively to level the scores just five minutes later when Andy King collected a loose ball to drill the equaliser past Ali Al-Habsi
