Danny Drinkwater: 'Leicester City must start winning again'

Danny Drinkwater urges Leicester City to get back to winning ways in order to secure promotion from the Championship.

Danny Drinkwater has said that Leicester City must stop their recent run of draws and defeats if they are to secure promotion to the Premier League.

The Foxes have two losses and three draws in their last six games, including a 1-1 draw with league leaders Cardiff City earlier this week.

The midfielder told the club's website: "We do desperately need to get out of this stage in the season where we're losing games and drawing games, we need to get back to winning.

"We always want to play [good] football and hopefully we can do that [against Derby County tomorrow].

"A 46-game season is a long season, and it will be mentally frustrating at times. You're going to have highs and lows but it's about getting through them. I'd love automatic promotion, but if we can't we'll do it the hard way and get automatic promotion from the playoffs."

Leicester currently sit fifth in the Championship table.
